We offer a six-week Citizen Forester training, Sept 22 - Oct 30, consisting of Wednesday evening lectures and Saturday field visits. Learn about tree identification, planting, pruning, and pest management. The $200 cost can be waived in exchange for volunteer commitment.

The Urban Forest Map
is a new interactive web site that anyone can use to add or browse information about San Francisco's trees. This data will be used by urban foresters and city planners to better manage trees in specific areas, track and combat tree pests and diseases, and plan future plantings.
