Foliage: Medium-green, glossy, oval leaves, 2-'6" long.
Flower: Yellow, very fragrant flowers, 1" long, in clusters 2-3" across, bloom May-September.
Fruit: Insignificant fruit.
Bark: Smooth, gray bark.
Monthly Watering Needs: In general, 15-20 gallons per week for the first 2 years; 15-20 gallons twice a month for the 3rd year; as needed after 3 years (varies by soil, sun, and wind conditions).
Tree Care: Moderate. Early pruning needed to establish and maintain central leader, and to encourage good branch structure. Sidewalk clean-up during flower drop.
Tolerances: Sandy soil.
Special Considerations: Prefers sun and warmth, protection from wind, and good drainage. Irregular shape when young, eventually fills out. Flowers may drop.
