Foliage: New leaves are rusty and hairy, turning smooth, dark green. Older leaves turn bright red before dropping.
Flower: Small, fragrant, white flowers in 1-1/2 Ð 3" clusters bloom May-July.
Fruit: Blue-black fruits look like olives.
Monthly Watering Needs: 15-20 gallons per week for the first 2 years; 15-20 gallons twice a month for the 3rd year; as needed after 3 years (varies by soil, sun, and wind conditions).
